Vi City Hits Us With A Hot New Single Titled “OnGOD” Featuring Harv
One of Chicago’s very own, Vi City, originally from the Wild Hundreds, is back on the music scene. Crafting a sound that captures the pain and hope of a youth striving to make a better way, combined with the ambition and skills to actually have made it out, the celebratory tones reign supreme on this wave of sound for the veteran rapper, songwriter and producer.
Vi’s introduction to the game came via working with Mathaus Ent. & Chilly of the 1st & 15th label in conjunction with Lupe Fiasco. Shortly after, he connected with DJ Skee to release a mixtape under Skee’s Skeeter’s TV label. His next stint came working with St. Louis’ own, Nelly, co – penning the hit Country N**** Fly (CNF).
In the midst of acquiring a deal with Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG), Vi wrote and featured on “Some Ish” by Sir Michael Rocks ft. Twista off of his #1 debut solo album “Banco.” Along the way, he co-produced and wrote with the iconic producer duo Da Interz (Tuo Clark & Kos who’s worked on Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, and Nas)..
Vi also has music placed on the hit show Empire.
Prior to deciding to drop new music of his own, Vi founded and branded Hundreds Entertainment, a music and film production firm of which he signed talented artist, Phoînix Keyz out of St. Louis, MO and has started crafting Phoînix’ debut project around each of the 6 instruments he plays.

R&B music welcomes new king to the stage with singles from Touré
MIAMI, FL – When Ajani Touré Bryan Kingslow was born, his mother wanted to give him a name with meaning. Though his first name is of Nigerian origin, he himself is not Nigerian. But the name his mother chose for him is laden with meaning. Ajani means “he who fights for what is his,” and when paired with his middle name “Touré” which is French for “king,” his full name becomes a proclamation to the world that he is a king who will fight for what is his. It’s a powerful name and one that he hopes to live up to. He’s doing his best to do just that as he pursues his dream of becoming a professional musician and entertainer known all over the globe for his originality and inspiring message.
Though Touré has been involved with music for most of his life, it hasn’t been until recently that he has chosen to pursue music as a career. He started on the path while in middle school when he first picked up the saxophone. By high school, he had discovered a passion for DJ-ing and was soon the person called upon by all his friends to DJ parties. This continued through college and he got so into it that often he would sing along to the songs or emcee throughout as a kind of hype man. The audiences loved it, and many of them approached him about his sets to encourage him to make his own music. Eventually, he and one of his close friends Jaleel, a producer who goes by the name 5AMKush, decided to give it a go and moved down to Miami together. Jaleel purchased some equipment and soon the two of them were recording music and laying down lyrics.
Their most recent collaboration is a single called “Money Talks” which Touré has released across all streaming platforms. It’s an R&B song with a lighter, more “fun” tone to it. According to Touré, it’s a song about a girl who is a guy’s equal in every way.
“It is R&B, which is music that I’m really into, but this one in particular of all my songs is more bouncy,” he said. “I do a bit more rapping and the chorus is melodic. It’s mainly about meeting a girl, having a good time, and envisioning what life would be like with her. She’s a girl who has her own money and doesn’t need a guy for anything. They go out and see each other, and one time he picks up the tab and the next time she picks up the tab. It’s a balanced relationship – not all on one or the other. In the video, you see them living life together – shopping at the mall, around the house having a good time, that kind of stuff. It’s a fun song.”
Touré said he’s trying to create music that not only connects with today’s audiences in ways that nod to the modern sound of R&B, but also brings back the influence from old-school R&B.
“I feel like a lot of today’s R&B is disconnected from what that genre was originally meant to be,” he said. “There are a lot of people out there who are singing, but the substance is different. It’s not so much about women anymore as it is about hardships and life. I’m trying to bring back that love and that connection with women and specific interactions with the female fan base. I want people to be able to connect with my music. I started writing music by sharing some of my own experiences. Most of my music is telling a story of experiences with women or relationships – good times and bad times. I expand on some ideas and get inspiration from other places, but a lot of times what I’m talking about is close to home. No matter what though, I want people to connect. Everyone has dealt with a significant other in some way and my music is easily relatable when it comes to that. Everybody can relate to it.”
In addition to “Money Talks,” Touré will be dropping a second single called “I Wanna Be” before the end of the year. He also said he plans to drop a bigger project sometime in 2020.

Aly Frank shines light on impact social media has on suicide epidemic with new single ‘Suiciety’
NEW YORK, NY – According to the World Health Organization, nearly 800,000 people die by suicide in the world each year. That’s roughly one death every 40 seconds. Suicide is the second leading cause of death in the world for those aged 15 to 24 years.
It’s an epidemic and New York artist Aly Frank wants to do whatever she can to curb that negative trend and inspire others to make a difference. That’s why she created the new single “Suiciety.” A song that is simultaneously gripping and inspiring, “Suiciety” is both a wake-up call and a journey through what Western Culture has become, thanks to the impossible standards and overwhelming pressures created by social media. “Suiciety” by definition is a society that is slowly killing itself. Aly wants to turn that on its face, but she knows she can’t do it alone.
“This song is both a warning and a lesson,” she said. “I want this song to make a real difference and get the attention I think it has the potential to get. It’s been a topic in the back of my mind for a very long time but for some reason, I never thought to write about it. I always tend to write about my relationships. But when I heard this music, all of a sudden this thought of how social media has been taking over our minds just burst out of me through music. I just started writing and it was done in an hour.”
In the song, Aly brings to bear her lifelong training as a musician and her natural talent as a singer and lyricist to inspire others to consider the addictive qualities that can come with social media use. She doesn’t so much emphasize social media as evil as much as she encourages others to be responsible with how they use social media and to keep an eye out for the warning signs of depression and anxiety in others.
“I hope people understand that social media isn’t the devil, it should just be managed,” she said. “I think people are excited with every new feature that comes out every day and all the filters that come out and all the stories that are everywhere. Everybody gets so caught up in it and they don’t seem to understand the dark effect it can have, especially on young people who are still developing. This song calls attention to those things. And like all of my music, I want it to be known for being genuine. I want my music to be known as something that people can turn to when they’re going through something similar to what I’ve gone through. People have told me in the past that they listen to my music when they’re going through something tough, and that just means the world to me.”
“Suiciety” was released across all streaming platforms on Sept. 22. Aly has also created other singles during her professional career and said she has about three albums worth of music ready to be mixed and mastered. She said fans can be sure to see some of those singles released in the new few months.

PG3 calls out all the liars in the world with new single ‘No Kappa’
SAVANNAH, GA – In some social circles of the world, there’s a belief that numbers have power. There’s a whole study behind the science of numerology. The number three, for instance, is said to be a power number, a symbol, if you will, of strength and integrity and even holiness.
Hip Hop artist PG3 doesn’t necessarily believe in numerology, but he does love the number three and all the symbolism that goes along with it. It has always been a lucky number for him and as such, it’s a symbol around which he wants to build his brand. He’s creating a movement of sorts, around the idea that when things are good and right and powerful, then “It’s 3.” It’s a saying he hopes catches on across the U.S. and which people will hear regularly throughout his music. His upcoming EP “It’s 3” will explore the philosophy behind the phrase and show the world his unique blend of sound and style. But before that EP releases later this year, he’s offering a single to the world.
“No Kappa” was dropped three weeks ago and has already been getting some major attention from fans along the East Coast. It’s an up-tempo track with hard-hitting lyrics that call out anyone who tries to put on a false face.
“It’s an upbeat track music that’s all about speaking on the real,” PG3 said. “It’s really for all the dudes out in the streets who can relate to what I’m saying. It’s basically saying that people shouldn’t be lying. If you say, ‘You’re no kappa’ you’re basically saying ‘You ain’t no lier.’”
PG3 has come a long way in the year-plus that he’s dedicated himself to a professional music career. What started as a hobby as a teenager of freestyling with friends has evolved into a one-of-a-kind talent that demands to be heard by a wider audience around the world. That individual talent was apparent from an early age as even when he was a child, he would wow the older kids in his neighborhood by how easily he could freestyle.
“People used to call me Minute Man because I’d go in hard for a minute and kill it,” he said. “I didn’t really take it seriously until I went over to a friend’s house and he had a studio there and we made a track called ‘Doin’ It’ and uploaded it to SoundCloud, and people all over the place started telling me how good I was and that I should keep going with it. I never really looked back from there.”
PG3 said he wants people to know him for what he says and for being able to make somebody move through his music. He makes the kind of music that makes people want to bob their heads and feel the groove, and when he combined quality lyrical content with that music he feels like he has a chance to “bring real rap back.”

AJ Angels inspires others with new introspective EP ‘Iso’
DENVER, CO – Separated… Alone … Isolated…
That’s how Denver artist AJ Angels has felt at times throughout his life and it’s in those moments that he always turns to music. The power of artistic expression has played out multiple times in his life in a myriad of ways, and it’s that power that he wants to capture and share with the world through his new EP “Iso.”
The project explores what it means to take a moment and check in with yourself. It’s about his mentality during those isolated moments and the motivating factors that happen in life to derail us from our dreams.
“It’s about asking yourself why you’re doing what you’re doing and why you’re chasing whatever it is that you’re chasing,” AJ said. “It’s about looking back and seeing how much progress you’ve made. For myself, I have the pedal down right now and a lot of times I feel like I have to drive this road alone. But that’s OK because I have to chase this dream and I’m focused on that.”
The idea for the project came about while he was checking into a hotel a few months back. He found himself almost in an out-of-body experience, looking down at his life in that moment and wondering what it was that led to him feeling so alone. So as he checked into a hotel, he also checked in on himself and began to reminisce on the progress of his life and the things around him. As he sat in his room, those introspective thoughts became words on a page which eventually turned into the debut single from the album, “Check In.”
“It’s kind of mellow and really echoes a lot of what I’m talking about on this project,” AJ said. “There’s an all-audio track to start the project, then you get ‘Check In’. But by track 3, things are more uplifting and fun and you’re enjoying life. I have some great choreography I want to put with some of those later songs on the EP, and we’re getting ready to film a video for ‘Check In’ later this month.”
The last three songs on the EP are “Witness,” “Little People” and “Arise” – all of which are inspirational and upbeat, with lyrics that demand attention. “Little People” in particular is one of the stronger tracks on the project as it pushes listeners to remember the “little people” in life and acknowledge that all of us are in some way little people, no matter how far we go in life or how much we succeed.
“And then I end with ‘Arise’ where I’m talking about my view on how I’m seeking something that makes me want to keep going,” AJ said. “I’m always seeking more and with this song, I’m touching on the fact that I’m single again and how I’m focused on my music. It’s about something I’m seeking and how it’s hard for me to put energy into something else. So I’m putting energy into what I think is working.”
Through all of his music, AJ’s unique sound and style reflects influence from the West African heritage that was instilled in him as a child growing up with immigrant parents. His taste in music and his sound has always had a foreign touch, and it’s that subtle blend that AJ thinks sets him apart from others in the industry today.
“At the end of the day, I want my music to be known for being real and inspiring,” he said. “That’s big for me. What I’m talking about a lot is finding self-progress in my music. There are a lot of people around me who don’t think I can have a version of success. But if there’s one thing to pick up from my music it’s that I’m being real and I’m showcasing how anyone can have a journey of success. Don’t worry if what you’re doing is right or wrong – if you love it, go all-in and see how things work out. If you’re 100 percent authentic and real, you can impact an unknown number of people’s lives. There are many times when I’ll never know how much my music impacts someone, but I can always count on being a positive impact on others if I’m being 100 percent real myself.”

LA artist Shiro melds genres to create Gospel Optional Urban Praise Music with her new hit single ‘Let’s Get It’
LOS ANGELES, CA – An artist that is known from her work over the years with legends such as Brandy, A Lighter Shade of Brown, Dj Quik, Mc Lyte, and Tupac is stepping out from the background and bringing her talents to the forefront with her new hit single “Let’s Get It”.
The artist- Shiro, and her unique brand of music – called “Go Up Music” – is turning heads all throughout the music industry because of its one-of-a-kind sound and intriguing fusion of genres. One part Gospel, one part Urban, and one part of various other genres – from Latin to House and everything in between – Go Up Music is the new wave of Gospel Praise music that ultimately will redefine how people consider listening to religious music.
Shiro said, “The concept of Go Up Music hit us when we were working on new music to be released. We knew we had found a different type of flavor based on the tracks we were writing over – rap and trap and stuff like that. Some people say hard-core beats are beats that most Gospel singers don’t want to sing over because they think in using those beats it’s not Gospel. However, when people hear Go Up Music, they can decide how they feel about it, but we know that we’re praising God in the midst of the message and we’re doing it in a way that has never been done before. It’s totally different from the Gospel music most people are accustomed to. It’s off the Richter scale. You wouldn’t even realize it’s Gospel until you really start to listen to the lyrics. Our hope is to capture people by the music and at the same time have a positive message.”
With “Let’s Get It,” Shiro not only showcases her amazing vocals but also takes listeners on a controversial journey but she isn’t shying away from the conversation that she said needs to be had. “There is temptation everywhere, especially when you’re focused on getting to Heaven,” she said. “This song is based on encouraging people to take an avenue that most others wouldn’t. We’re speaking to people of the world who are seeking someone who can love them unconditionally. We want to show them that what they’re seeking can be found through a better life in Christ Jesus.”
“I want my music to be known for changing lives, being authentic, and original,” Shiro said, “It’s not preachy…it’s reality. I can talk from a pure place about some real-life experiences because I’ve been through them. Like at one point in my life, I felt broken and someone that was close to me convinced me to strip. I did it once and knew immediately that it was not the right path for me. But I want people to know that I’m just like them. I’m no better than you, but I have discovered a better way — a way where there is someone who will accept you for who you are, give you strength when you are weak, and lets you know that you are not a mistake”.
The music video for “Let’s Get It” is dropping in early October across all streaming platforms

REME serves up a fresh new sound from the Southwest with “Dremeland”
HOUSTON, TX – Houston born and raised, Remus Young (known by his stage name REME) is raising his hometown’s profile with his own unique style and flavor. This versatile 21 year old Hip Hop and R&B artist has a sound unlike any other, and is poised to showcase his talent far beyond the Southwest.
Blessed with innate rhythm and beat, REME’s songwriting creatively builds from the base to the soul. Writing his own beats, lyrics and melodies, REME starts with creating a nice baseline beat and builds on that foundation. “I imagine the beat before I even write anything down. It may be a little bop. It may be a snap of the fingers. It may be something I put down,” REME said. “However it comes, it’s a sound that sticks with you.”
Over the past two years, he has been laying down tracks with the help of his producer and engineer, E Blaze. REME’s recent project titled “Dremeland” is a 9 track collection released under the name “REME the DREME.” One particular favorite song, “Playhouse,” has intense, sentimental lyrics paired with a theatrical beat. Across the entire collection, REME’s smooth flow weaves through his carefully crafted beats and haunting melodies.
Music has been a part of REME’s life since he was growing up. While his parents were divorcing, REME turned to music to escape the family drama. Later raised in a single parent home, REME was a bit of a loner who continued to sharpen his music and lyrical skills. Influenced by Tupac, Biggie and Snoop Dogg, REME’s music reflects life’s hardships, how he sees people and the world, and the challenges that others around him are going through.
Making his own music since fifth grade, REME seriously delved into music at the start of High School. Although Houston can be tough for an upcoming artist, REME has been encouraged to push forward by his faith and the support of his family, his friends and his fan base over the years.
REME feels the music scene in Houston is underrated, and he is helping to boost his home city to gain more attention for the local talent. “A whole lot of people are stuck on the perception that Houston is what it is. That’s not what it is,” he said. “It’s something way more. I don’t know if people can see that, but I’m gonna make people see that.”
With God being at the core of everything for REME, he believes that people should look after each other. “If someone can’t do it, try to help them or show them that there’s a way to do it. Try not to be self-centered and be open-minded towards yourself, your experience and other people.”
All of REME’s music is available on SoundCloud now, and he’s looking to drop a couple of singles, some music videos and an album in the very near future.

Stazthehokage reaches new heights with his EP “Vounó”
QUEENS, NY – Stazthehokage (STAZ-THE-HO-KA-GAE) knew he wanted something cool and creative to name his latest project. He decided on “VOUNÓ”–a Greek word for “Mountain”–as the title of his new EP. Staz says that just like in the mountains, where you can hear the echoes of your voice bounce, his music on this EP uses an echo effect to surround his audiences with vocals and help them zone into what he’s singing and rapping about.
Staz’s new EP blends experimental Hip Hop and Pop music, and features his soulful voice, expert flow and sharp rhyming style. The EP includes 9 tracks inspired by his life and experiences with love and heartbreak. When he is unable to talk to anyone about feelings, Staz says, he pours them into a song and shares it knowing that people will be able to relate to what he’s saying.
For example, the song “Make It” is about people who tear you down and tell you that you’re not going to make it no matter what you do–even though you know differently. He also has a message in his music about the current state of hip hop. Songs like “Rap Culture Is Dead” and “Twilight Zone” say that hip hop has changed but not in a way that shows more artistic creativity.
Stazthehokage is a mixed genre artist. He grew up listening to the Beatles, Elvis, Michael Jackson, John Legend and other classics. Listening to different kinds of artists gives him ideas that he puts into his own music. “There’s a lot of music out there that can inspire you to do way more than what you think that you can do,” Staz said. He didn’t start listening to Hip Hop until later, when The Black Eyed Peas came along. Stazthehokage’s music has evolved and matured since then, when he was doing dubstep beats and rhymes and rapping with friends.
When asked about his unusual name, Staz says it comes from the Japanese manga series, Naruto. A “Hokage” is the leader of a village who must be pure and kind hearted,. The Hokage will do whatever it takes to protect those around him. Staz chooses these qualities for himself as he takes care of his friends and juggles his music career with college, church, and family.
After graduating from high school, Staz started performing to fully engaged audiences at clubs, including Blackthorn 51 in Queens. He loves making music and plans to release his next single soon called “FIRE ON THE MOUNTAIN.”
Staz says his next collection–which he already has named “Mayhem”–will unfold the stories told on VOUNÓ and maintain the space and the echoes that VOUNÓ provided. Although it will have a few light-hearted tracks, it will also show a more aggressive side of Staz and be new ground. “Mayhem will have an electric feeling to each track, “says Staz. “It’s going to be good.”

Kiga to Finally Release “Wock$tar” as a Summer Anthem
HACKENSACK, NJ – Taking the underground hip hop/rap scene by storm is the musical menace who is known simply as Kiga, and his journey to success hasn’t always been easy. He reflects back to when he was younger, as he always loved music as a form of self-expression. His passion for writing meaningful lyrics has only grown over the years- believe it or not he has a background in poetry. When he realized he could take his lyrics inside the studio and completely transform them artistically, all bets were officially off.
When it comes to his overall aesthetic as an artist, his flows are incredibly versatile. In the beginning, he started out writing music for his own personal entertainment, but people would continually gravitate to him and his sound. “People heard my music and would tell me how dope it was. My first project I ever put out brought in over 35,000 streams on its first debut. I’ve just used that as motivation to keep it going up from here,” said Kiga. Simply put, you’ll have to see, or hear, what we’re talking about for yourself. Kiga doesn’t define himself by any musical genre- he expresses himself freely, which makes his entire artistry stand out from the rest.
Kiga doesn’t set rules for himself. In fact, he believes to his core that there’s no right or wrong way when it comes to music. “I have a rule that all of my songs need to sound different from one another. I just make music that feels and sounds good to me. I can’t put it into a genre,” said the artist. With all that being said, he has formed a strategy when it comes to releasing music. In everything he does, he makes sure he’s always putting his best foot forward, especially when it involves his music releases.
Fans will be excited to learn that he’s finally releasing a song he’s been teasing for a while, his new single, “Wock$tar”. This banger is sure to be on rotation all summer and have everyone going wild. “This is the type of song you turn all the way up when it comes on. I have people stop me all the time asking me when I’m going to finally release the track, and I just feel now it’s time. This song is going to have people turning up all summer. The WOCK$TAR vibes are too strong, resistance is futile” said Kiga.
That sounds like a plan to us. Plainly said, Kiga wants everyone to “prepare for the takeover because Jersey is up next”. And in true Kiga fashion, he closes out with his trademark: Kigaworrrdd.

Yung HD follows success of first album with killer follow-up ‘Bars From Mars Too’
ATLANTA, GA – Jeffrey Childress was almost literally born into music. Some of his very first memories are of times spent in his father’s recording studio. Joe Da Boss had his own record label and would often bring his son to the studio with him. At age 9, Childress was able to lay some snares down on a beat for one of his father’s artists, and he even got a production credit for it. Over the years, he ate, slept and breathed music, and a nickname quickly emerged for him throughout the neighborhood: Yung Hood.
As he grew older and developed his own unique sound and style, that name evolved into Yung HD – a name that not only nods to his past and the extensive training he’s had in the music industry but also draws attention to the clarity and excellence of his voice. It’s like high definition.
Today, Yung HD is riding a wave of success off recent releases, and he’s set to take his brand to the next level with his new album “Bars From Mars Too.” It’s a continuation of his first album “Bars From Mars” with songs and vibes that take his sound to the next level. Since dropping the album on May 3, he has already seen more than 200,000 streams. It’s worth mentioning that before releasing “Bars From Mars Too” Yung HD signed to White Velvet Records.
“It’s a project that’s all about my life and the things I was going through at the time I created the first album and how I’ve overcome all of that,” Yung HD said. “It’s a little bit of everything – upbeat tracks and laid-back tracks and just this new wave I’m on. I use auto-tune to make it sound good and you can understand everything I’m saying. I got a message behind what I’m saying. I’m not talking about drugs and money and stuff like that, but the struggles of being an independent artist and making everything work together. If you keep pushing, you’ll have something to show for it.”
Though this is only his second official album, Yung HD has been making music professionally for years. He released his first project “Smoke Music” in his late teens and since then has opened for people like Rick Ross, Curen$y, Rittz, Tuki Carter, Raz Simone, Twisted Insane, Three 6 Mafia, Whitney Peyton, Trinidad James and many more. He has also started his own label, Twist Up Entertainment LLC and co-founded it with Joshua A1 Owens. Under this independent label, Yung HD said he has brought together an elite team of artists, producers, directors, designers, managers and entrepreneurs – each member being a leader and offering something unique and beneficial to the team.
One such collaboration includes Ronnie Reed, who is featured on the song “Wasting Time,” which is the debut single from Yung HD’s new album. Described as a “laid-back track for the females,” the single is about picking up a girl late at night and having a good time. Yung HD said he and Ronnie Reed connected through a music video project some years back and immediately clicked through similar interests in music. In addition to their work together on “Wasting Time,” they’ve also collaborated on two other songs – one on Yung HD’s previous album and one on Ronnie Reed’s album.

The eight-track album features themes that explore what it takes to be successful in life and “get that money.” JoeCash said he wanted to explore the joy of buying expensive stuff as a reward to hard work paying off. Since releasing his first album in 2001, he has had multiple tours and shows and has worked hard to achieve the success that he enjoys today. “Art Money” is a celebration of that success, told across a diverse range of vibes that is equal parts laid-back and hard-hitting street lyrics.
“I’m unique, I’m genuine, there’s no fraudulent with me,” JoeCash said. “I stand out from the crowd. I have passion. When they hear that off-the-hill- Joe sound, they’ll know immediately that it’s me. I’ve always been trying to get up and come up, always been on the paper chase. People started calling me JoeCash because of that since I was young, and so I used it as a rap name.”
He said he’s worked hard to develop a truly original sound, and has studied some of the greats over the years to see what they’ve done to attain success. He points to artists like the Wu Tang Clan, Nas, Biggie and Tupac as some of his favorites. He also lived in Hinesvile, Georgia for a time and said he learned a lot from artists such as Pastor Troy and Jeezy.
Today, with “Art Money,” he hopes to bring together all of the things he’s learned from those legends alongside all of the things he’s learned from the past 18 years of making music into one great project that will catapult across the country. It’s a gritty tale of survival in the urban communities that he said is sure to satisfy a wide audience.

Alfonso Lugo mixes wealth of recording industry talents to deliver fresh new music
LOS ANGELES, CA – Alfonso Lugo is rarely outside of a recording studio. As an established singer, guitarist, composer, jingle writer, voiceover talent and music producer, Alfonso has the full skill set to bring topnotch audio projects to his audience. His single “Loca,” scheduled for launch on August 29, marks a new beginning born from experience and collaboration. After extensive research in Mexico and Los Angeles, Alfonso and his team carefully crafted a real gem. With its catchy, captivating beat, and sing-along refrain, “Loca” is guaranteed to be a massive hit.
Alfonso joined forces with a pair of successful songwriters from Malaysia and renowned co-producer Mario Marchetti (Jennifer Lopez, Black Eyed Peas, Nick Carter, Demi Lovato) to bring out “Loca” after warming up his listeners with several singles and YouTube videos. A pop piece with Latin foundations and a Mediterranean vibe, “Loca” transports you to a sunny beach where you’re sipping cocktails and dancing to the music.
While the lyrics of most Spanish urban music tend to be disrespectful towards women, Alfonso takes a fresh approach. He intentionally places women on a pedestal, treating them as goddesses. “Yes, I talk about sexuality and sensuality, and everything involved there, but in a very respectful way,” said Alfonso. “I want to raise the level of how we treat women in songs nowadays.”
A native Spanish speaker, Alfonso is the voice of several big brands in Mexico and the US. In Mexico, he worked with famous Mexican voiceover host Charo Fernández at Televisa Radio and on a weekly transmitted Mexican government cultural program. While working as a voiceover talent, music producer and manager of four recording studios, he was in the studio all the time, connecting with creative and advertising agencies. The development of Alfonso’s music career happened naturally.
He never stopped making music. Between 2003 and 2012, Alfonso gained international recognition with three solo albums (“Homónimo,” “Sol Naciente,” “Sometimes (All I Want is You)”) and one duet with Blue Detox (“Beautiful Soul”).
Three and a half years ago, Alfonso made the move to Los Angeles to launch himself as a professional artist with the goal of touring internationally. In LA, he is surrounded by great producers and writers, and has the opportunity to work with international artists such as the winner of The Voice of Poland, Marta Gałuszewska. Alfonso, along with an artist he produces, collaborated with Marta on songwriting while she was in town.
Alfonso stays busy. He recently collaborated with Mexican actress Regina Blandón on “Gravedad,” a song featured in the movie “Mirreyes contra Godínez.” Following on the success of having his song featured in one of Mexico’s biggest box office movies, Alfonso will release “Loca” near the end of August. Afterwards, he plans to release a string of singles with an EP dropping at the end of this year. As a music producer, he works with a few American artists whose projects will launch in 2020.
Alfonso passionately believes that the world needs love. For the YouTube video of his single, “Bésame” (Kiss Me), he asked fans and colleagues to send footages of them kissing loved ones – including pets! He put the clips together to create a beautiful video showing love which helps to spread his message: “The world needs more kisses and love and hugs!”

Hot new artist Angelynn arrives on the scene with new EP ‘GiGi’ featuring standout single ‘No Love Lost’
PORTLAND, OR – Like most people, music is an emotional outlet for hip hop and R&B artist Angelynn. When she’s hurting, when she’s happy, when she just wants to be chill and vibe out, no matter the emotion, there’s always a song that she can connect with. It’s what has motivated her throughout most of her life, and it’s what sparked within her a deep desire to create music that would connect emotionally with others and provide a similar outlet.
After many years of hard work and perfecting her craft, Angelynn is ready to release her debut EP. It’s a five-track project called “GiGi” which dropped on June 22. Every song is written and recorded by Angelynn under her independent label Angelynn Entertainment. She said the project is one that almost anyone could listen to and relate with, with vibes for multiple emotions.
“I just want people to relate to my music and to feel good,” she said. “Music makes me feel good, and that’s what I want to give to other people. When they’re hurting and want to smoke and listen to music, they can turn on my song ‘Smoke in my Face’ because it’s relatable and reflects how they feel in the moment. They can just relate to and feel my music and go to it when they need to express how they feel. Sometimes, people don’t know how to put their feelings into words, but I feel like I can do that for them through my music.”
The five songs on the album are “No Love Lost” which was the debut single, “Flow,” “Good Energy,” “Lie After Lie” and “Smoke in My Face.” She currently has two music videos on her YouTube channel for “No Love Lost” and “Flow” and is working on more music videos to follow soon.
“No Love Lost” has been the single getting the most attention to date. It’s about a woman who is getting cheated on by a man. He doesn’t know she knows, and so she cheats back.
“I had to play a character when I wrote it because I would never do that,” Angelynn said. “I would never play the revenge card and cheat on a man if he cheated on me. I’d just leave. If I didn’t love the guy I was with, I would cheat if he cheated on me, but not if I really loved him. So it’s basically a song about revenge. It’s aggressive but chill as well. It feels good to sing – empowering. I wouldn’t want a man to cheat on me or for me to cheat back. But if it happened, I probably didn’t love him in the first place which is why it’s called ‘No Love Lost.’”
“Flow” is another single that’s been getting a lot of attention from the EP. It has more of a jazzy feel with some strong R&B vibes. Angelynn said it’s a song about going with the flow and how she expresses her personality – how she tends to go with the flow in most situations. Lil Reno of LSO Films directed the music video for the song while she did the final edit of the video. She said she loved the experience and is eager to do it again for more of her songs in the future.
She also said she enjoyed working with her sister who served as a producer for some of the music on her EP. She comes from a musical family – her older twin sisters are artists in the Portland area and her Uncle Rudy is a jazz player in Los Angeles. Angelynn said she’s eager to continue the family legacy and put her own name out there as a musician to pay attention to.

Ride shotgun with passionate emcee Chevy Quis and his new single “Shotgun”
LOS ANGELES, CA – Chevy Quis, in conjunction with Ivree Productions, will hold a rooftop Release Party to launch Chevy’s new single, “Shotgun” atop the Ivree Production building in Hollywood on July 17. “Shotgun” is a west coast style cruising track, described by the artist as a trendy and witty lyric rhyme-scape blended with R&B vocal harmonies and tongue-twisting rap schemes.
The song takes inspiration from Chevy’s two sets of parents, both married for over a decade. His mother and stepmother are women who are fully supportive of their men. Describing his own ideal partner, the song celebrates having that ride or die chick that is just for him. “Riding shotgun by my side” – she is down for him 110% no matter the situation.
Chevy’s music combines a modern day R&B sound with melodic rapping. Showcasing his ability to switch it up, Chevy uses different variations of his rhyming with tempo twists and turns, adding a little sparkle and shine from the R&B side to hip hop beats.
Chevy is one artist of an independent group of artists known as the Famous Gang Entertainment (F.G.E.) Group. They grew up together in Minnesota and worked on several successful projects together. Taking a risk, the twelve artists made the 27 hour drive out to California nearly a year ago. Not all of them are still in California but those who remain are still pushing and making music.
He expresses his creativity by communicating his message in different and unique ways which allow listeners to relate to him as an artist. Chevy is working on the follow up to his 2018 debut album, “Epitome 1” which will feature music written since his arrival in California. He also plans to continue dropping singles and make a music video for “Shotgun.”
The book, “The Law of Attraction” changed Chevy’s way of thinking about how to take control of his life, how he could attract what he wanted, and to live life according to his calling. Chevy wants to encourage others to keep pushing. “Be the creator of the world that you live in. Go hard for what you wanna get in life, and go hard for what you want. Don’t ever let nobody tell you no. If somebody tells you “no”, convince them otherwise.”

West Coast artist inspires others to ‘Rank Up’ with new music
LOS ANGELES, CA – Regardless of what we go through in life or what we face, no matter the adversities, we can always elevate.
That’s the core concept behind everything that West Coast artist Rank Rated does. His music, his art and his message is all about being better. And the long road he’s been on – from homelessness to successful entertainer – is a testament that with determination and a dream, you can fulfill your destiny.
Two of his most recent singles by upcoming composer PacoTheProducer– “Valid” and “Baggage” – speak directly to that life motto and tap into depths of his talent in ways that bring forward a new wave of sound and style for a generation desperate for something original. With “Valid” which is slated to drop on July 26, Rank Rated rails against the social norm of validation that pops up in multiple places of our lives.
“Everyone is looking for validation today,” he said. “We live in a time where everything has to have validation – whether it’s a credit score or experience in whatever industry you’re in, or even likes on social media. Whatever it is, we’re all seeking some type of validation and more often than not, we’re seeking that from other individuals. I had people who told me I couldn’t do certain things, but here I am. I validated myself and pushed forward based on what I knew I could do.”
Rank also reveals how through social media and mutual friends he has met people like DJ FiveVenoms, director JDfilms, and Quavo. He also stated an affiliation with JGreen (of YNW), whose manager Rank has been in contact with for a while and who he respectfully calls “Unc.” Rank also noted his independence through platform United Masters which features other artists such as Lil Tecca and Choppa on their roster.
With “Baggage,” which was released in June, Rank Rated explores the hard work it takes to attain success. And once you achieve that success, the symbols that come with that, such as the baggage you bring with you as you’re traveling the world, can be an affirmation of that hard work that brought you to this point.
“I’m doing my thing right now, living my life and catching flights,” he said. “That’s what this song is about. It’s about getting to the money, a fun song that really says, ‘I don’t care what anybody else has to say.’”
“At the end of the day, I hope my music is known for being inspirational, in a way,” Rank Rated said. “I was able to do it so you can, too. Ranking up is something everyone can and should do, whether that’s getting a promotion at a job or trying to create a better life for yourself. Rank is having status. Rank is everything. So tell your haters to Rank Up.
In addition to his two most recent singles, Rank Rated has also released a new EP called “Far From Regular” which is available on all digital distribution outlets. With catchy lines about baggage and baguettes that slide on the beat, fans will definitely be eager to hear more.

New singer/songwriter Michelle Pellabrings a charming and bubbly spirit of joy to the world
TAMPA, FL – Most people who meet Michelle Pella are left with a feeling of joy and because of her naturally bubbly and outgoing personality. Self-described as a “love bird,” this Midwest native who now resides in the Tampa Bay area of Florida puts that joy into her music and it has been leaving a mark all over the country.
Best described as a singer/songwriter, Michelle’s passion for music started at a young age. Not only did she feel drawn to music at school, but she spent a lot of time with her late grandmother, Ardentrice Moore, who helped nurture her voice and love for music and its role in her life from singing in the church choir and various other performances throughout her childhood.
“My mother loves music. My grandmother also loved music; she was a singer and choir director. In particular, my grandmother encouraged me to avoid a mediocre life, do my best and work hard,” Michelle said. They have always wanted me to truly be happy in life and in the career I chose in life. My grandmother was a songwriter, as well, and that always stuck with me. I feel her presence reminding me at times to stay humble, be who I am and never look back, just look forward. She definitely was a huge influence.”
By age 14, Michelle co-wrote and co-directed a high school film. By her late teen years she began writing songs and it’s apparent that she had a different way of writing music unlike anything she was hearing in popular songs. Melodies come to her thoughts and songs just pour out of her sometimes in as little as 15 to 30min. She gradually put together an archive of music that she eventually took with her into the recording studio in her home town of St. Louis. With some success there, she was encouraged to move to the East Coast to establish a corporate career and further pursue music. In the years since, she has worked hard to develop her own unique sound and style, and she’s now poised to show the world a new artist with a voice that demands attention.
“I’m musically versatile and I don’t think there are a lot of people out there who can write songs the way I can,” she said. “I think it’s rare and I hope the music community can see that. I see myself succeeding because I bring something people haven’t seen before. I’m a love bird, and I can speak and talk to anyone. I’m approachable. That’s the kind of music I want to put out there. Anyone can listen to it and it has a good positive vibe and flow about it. Ultimately, I hope my music is the kind of music that can bring people to think about life, appreciate life and make the best out of life. I hope I can give a positive effect to people through my music, regardless of what’s going on in their lives. They can still make it a good day. They can listen to it and make the best of whatever life they’ve created for themselves. I’m a human being just like everyone else, but I am my own person and I hope people who listen to my music will feel the love and joy behind who I am.”

Geraldine Taylor seeks world record with 16 languages in just one song
BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND – Geraldine Taylor is on the verge of getting a Guinness World Record.
The singer/songwriter from Birmingham in the United Kingdom has been a musician for many years, and one of her most recent singles – “Imagine” – is a song that is primed to earn her that world record. Why? Because she has 16 different languages featured in it.
The original song was written and sung entirely in English, and received high praises from fans and critics alike. She decided to sing the song in another language just to see how well it would play in a different part of the world. The response she received was phenomenal, and as the project evolved, she began to wonder what it would be like to include multiple languages on one track. The answer is “Imagine: World Remix” which features lyrics in Spanish, Portuguese, English, French, Serbian, Tagalog, Arabic, Indonesian, Zambian, Italian, Croatian, Russian, Bosnian, Urdu, Swahili and Thai.
“The song is about imagining if you could go beyond the shackles and chains and bonds of life that hold us back from our fullest potential,” Taylor said. “That’s a universal message. There are certain illusions in life – people think there are limitations to what they can and can’t achieve. The message is somewhat spiritual but mostly, it’s about enabling the listener to think outside the box and explore different possibilities in life.”
Taylor said the song takes on a laid-back, mid-tempo vibe that is perfect for someone to relax to – whether out on the beach or in the garden at home. The single is also a showcase for Taylor’s amazing poetry – something she’s been naturally gifted with since she was very young.
“My poetry connects to my life experiences and the experiences of things I see around me,” she said. “That’s not always pre-planned, either. I might be doing house work and have some lyrics pop into my head and I’ll sit down and have something written down five minutes later. Or I might be watching a film and be inspired to write a poem because of that story. Ultimately, I want my work to be known for uniting different groups of people because there is so much division in the world today. Think beyond the limitations you’ve conjured up for yourself and feel more connected through my music. I hope I can inspire positive change across the world.”
Taylor said “Imagine” is one of the many singles she currently has available, some of which are slated to release later this summer. She has also recently released an album called “Shining Starlight” which is available on all digital distribution sites.

Colin blends hip hop and electronic rock in new homage to electronic music
DENVER, CO – Freedom is a word that Mike Colin finds himself using quite a bit. The artist from Denver, Colorado has been making music for more than 30 years, and a common theme over the years has been the free-flowing, organic nature of creativity. He also feels extremely blessed to live in a country that allows him to pursue his passion for music so freely and to create whatever he wants to.
All of those ideas and more are captured on his new hit single, “Electro Americana,” which is a mash-up of rock, hip hop and electronic influences. It’s a song that fully embraces all that’s good and awesome about electronic music, while also pushing forward a message that encourages others to be free in whatever endeavors they choose to pursue.
“I think about how free I am to do this and how wonderful that is, and I’m not sure everyone knows how free they are to do what they want to,” Colin said. “Maybe I want my music to represent that. There’s such an attitude sometimes that something shouldn’t exist unless it’s popular, and I just don’t believe that. It doesn’t hold up. If my music represents anything, I guess it’s freedom and my imagination which are one and the same – and the attempt to inspire other people to embrace that freedom and take advantage of the opportunities they have before them.”
Colin has been taking advantage of that freedom and pursuing music as a career for more than 30 years when he first started performing in middle school. He’s been in rock bands, hip hop groups and even spent time in the 1990s as an acoustic performer during a time when music took a hard swing away from electronic sounds. He nods to the influences of classic rock legends like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and Jimmy Hendrix, all of whom were regular staples in his household growing up. But it wasn’t until high school, when he picked up the guitar and started really learning about music, that his passion for that artistic expression really took off. Since that time, he has created an archive of music that spans decades and offers the world an eclectic menu of organic sounds and styles.
With “Electro Americana,” Colin said he’s attempting to create something that’s “just fun” without having too much of an agenda. When he sat down and started creating the song, he had no intentions of making a statement to the world. However, out of the free-flowing creative process, he discovered that the song came to represent the genre of electronic music in ways that he hopes champions the sound to a wider audience.
“I’ve framed it for people to look at electronic music a bit differently,” he said. “I make music in every which way you can imagine. This is a good time for electronic music and it’s a genre that shouldn’t be looked down upon. I was in an acoustic band in the 1990s when people were abandoning the whole idea of electronics, and I got it at the time. But there’s nothing wrong with electronics and there’s nothing wrong with acoustic. I’ve made both and they’re both great and it’s all good. And with this song, I just want to celebrate something that’s fun and organic and free.”
Colin’s “Electro Americana” is currently available across all digital distribution sites. A free anthology of his music – consisting of more than 150 MP3s for people to download – is also available.
